Report: Carnival signs cruise-growth pact with Port Everglades
The Miami Herald reports Carnival Corp., the world’s largest cruise operator, has signed a deal with Broward County, pledging to funnel 25.5 million passengers through Port Everglades over the next 15 years. The deal keeps the once-obscure South Florida port on track to eclipse the Port of Miami as the world’s largest cruise port in two years. Read more here .
