I never got to try this product as it does not fit the Q45 auto. Make sure you buy a product that fits your car model.

It’s great being able to listen to an IPOD in the car. The adapter works great.

I got one of these because my 1994 Cadillac doesn’t have any way to adapt an mp3 player. I had used the cassette adapter in my Grand Caravan. (Mine is a Sansa rhapsody). When plugged in to the outlet in front, you can’t shift the car into either reverse or park. (This may just pertain to this model car). So I plugged it in the rear receptacle, which isn’t too hard to reach, although you can’t change songs, etc while driving. Worked wonderfully the first day. I left it plugged in overnight, thinking it would charge, but the next day the battery was too low to play. So I left it plugged in while I drove about 45 minutes or so and tried again. Still not enough charge to use. After driving 45 minutes more on the way home, it finally would play. Haven’t figured out yet if it actually charges, or what. I brought the mp3 player in the house and charged it with my computer. So I’m not sure yet if it will charge or not in the car.

One other thing is that the on/off/menu button on the mp3 player is inaccessible when docked.

The sound was great though. And I got a blank fm station on the second try. I really hope it will charge in the car. If it does, I will be really satisfied.

I have had this product for over a year and have used it successfully with my iPod Nano. The sound is good and it charges the nano. The stations sometimes get out of range, but there are many stations to choose from. For the most part, it is the best FM Transmitter that I’ve used.

…. did not meet my expectations. The item is bulky, so in some cars it does not even fit into the power plug. The item is too big to be plugged in and stay clear away from the shifter or parking brake.

During everyday driving, the sound being transmitted is not loud enough. You have to crank the stereo up to hear it half way. The analog display is invisible in daylight… so no way to see what station you have to set it in. Also, don’t forget to remove the ipod once the car is off. It will drain the ipod out of power.

I would not recommend this product. It is way too big for the console…unless you have an SUV or enough space in between shifter and dash.
